Manchester is one of England’s most vibrant locations. It is the seat of industry for the country, has a vibrant arts scene, and fosters a proud athletic tradition. Dublin being the capital of Ireland has its own mystique. It draws visitors for fun and business and is a portal to the Irish countryside. It is no wonder people frequently are looking for a Manchester to Dublin flight.

There are two options in airlines when flying from Manchester to Dublin and those are Aer Lingus and Ryanair. Interestingly enough these two airlines started as competitors and now are in an ownership partnership with Ryanair owning a part of Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus is the oldest airline in Ireland and travels to more international locations like North America and Africa. However, being a legacy carrier (once primarily owned by the government) it is finding heavy competition with regional, low-cost carriers. Ryanair is a low-cost carrier that is a recent upstart but has expanded to over a thousand routes. Of course, one of those routes is Manchester to Dublin.

Finding a very good fare from Manchester to Dublin can be had by simply checking the Ryanair web site. One can also find a possible decent fare from Aer Lingus on travel web sites. It is quite possible that the best fare would be available on a travel site rather than the company’s site.

Once in Dublin one can enjoy tourist favorites, like shopping, nightlife, and the countryside. If done correctly, one should have enough money from saving on the inexpensive flight.
