Manchester airport has many different terminals and the last thing you want when you’re rushing for your flight is to arrive at the wrong one and end up miles away from the check in desks. This results in you being much more stressed and nervous and doesn’t set you up very well for what, potentially, could be a very long plane journey. What you need to ensure is that, when you have booked your flight, you know exactly where you are going from and, therefore, where you need to park. If you are flying from terminal one then it is very good to know that you will be able to park next to the terminal and walk straight in.
To get to terminal one it is incredibly straightforward – you just follow the signs to the airport and it is the first part of the airport that you reach. The terminal has two car parks; a short stay and a long stay car park, so even if you are just dropping someone off then you are close enough to be able to walk into the airport and see them off. The long stay car park has one small limitation being that the minimum stay is 3 days – something that needs to be taken into consideration when deciding where to park the car. However, parking your car in the car park is by far the easiest option as it will end up much more costly to use the train and bus and is much less convenient for you.

Thinking about car hire when you are planning a holiday away can seem like a really boring thing to do. It is one of those little details which can seem such an effort to sort out and something that you do not want to really think about when you are deciding on which luxury hotel to stay in, which restaurants to eat at, which museums to visit or what shops you want to go in first. However, it is worth planning it in advance. Like most airports, Manchester offers many options with regards to car hire.
However, the early bird catches the worm when it comes to car hire, if you book in advance you will be able to get the car that you want but if you wait until the day that you need it then you may be left with a choice that is not so attractive. You may not get the model you want or the car may be too small to hold all of your luggage. It will all depend on what is left unbooked when you get there. If you book in advance and there is not much demand for cars, you may find that you get upgraded for free which is always nice. You may find that booking early helps to reduce the cost as well and that is always good news. So consider looking into this sort of thing while planning your trip and it should make your journey a lot more pleasurable.
